Several of our salsa flavors have stood out in popularity, prompting us to put these delicious
creations into stores. The salsas that you will find in stores and Farmers' Markets in Fort Collins, Colorado,
are SORT OF SMOKIN', SMOKIN' HOT, SMOKIN' HOT ROASTED GREEN CHILE, and SORT OF SMOKIN' MANGO.
All of our salsas are all-natural and contain no artificial preservatives: each jar contains organic vegetable
base, tomatoes, tomato juice, lime juice, serrano peppers, red and yellow onions, garlic, carrots, cilantro, salt, and ground
black pepper (in no particular order). The MANGO has big, juicy chunks of sweet mango mixed in with a mango-based smooth
salsa, and the ROASTED GREEN CHILE is chock-full of diced pieces of anaheim peppers that we roast on a charcoal
grill and peel. YUMMY!
BEHIND THE SALSA
Danielle loves to cook more than anything. She's a Food Network
junkie, and is always willing to whip something up, whether it's just for her and Jay, or for an enormous holiday party!
She spent countless hours in the kitchen with her Nanna as a little girl--perhaps some of that knowledge rubbed off on her!
When she started making her salsas for football games and parties in college at Colorado State University, Jay urged her to
sell it to friends and family, just as an experiment. That experiment has grown into Gilberto's Gourmet Goodness, giving
Danielle the opportunity of her dreams--to be the head chef of a company that she owns. With the help of her fiancee, Jay,
there is no telling how quickly GGG will spread across the country!
Jay grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia, and has gained lots of GGG salsa enthusiasts
from that area. Including both his and Danielle's extended families and networks of friends, their salsas and sauces
have been shipped to Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, Texas, and several other states across the country, spreading GOODNESS
everywhere they go!
